St.
Lucie County is sowing
the seeds of the future
by creating a 1,650
acre Research and
Education Park in
the heart of Florida's
Treasure Coast.
Anchored by the
USDA's 170,000 square
foot Horticultural
Research Laboratory
and the 90,000 square
foot University
of Florida's Institute
of Food and Agricultural
Sciences, St. Lucie
County's Education
and Research Park
is the home for
scientists, researchers,
and educators.
The master plan
for the Research
Park calls for over
800 developed acres
to house the education
and the development
of components, and
850 acres for agriculture
fields and for future
growth.
Researchers at
the Park have the
opportunity to collaborate
with scientists
currently working
within the St. Lucie
County at the Smithsonian
Martine Station,
Harbor Branch Oceanographic
Institution and
Florida's Center
for Excellence in
Biomedical and Marine
Biotechnology located
in Fort Pierce.
In addition to
the University of
Florida facilities
currently in the
Park, there will
be an additional
60 acre tract dedicated
to K-12 education.
Other institutions
such as Florida
Atlantic University,
Barry University
and Indian River
Community College
are only minutes
from the park.
Make the St. Lucie
County Education
and Research Park
your next location
and take advantage
of the tremendous
research and development
opportunities.
