 Stefan K. Matthes, P.E., is senior vice president of Culpepper & Terpening, Inc. a highly prominent local civil engineering firm based in St. Lucie County. Matthes has served as a professional engineer, registered in Florida, since 1987.
A resident of St. Lucie County since 1982, he graduated from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering in 1981.
In addition to his role as an authority board member, Matthes is a member of former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush’s Committee for a Sustainable Treasure Coast. He is a founding and current President of the board for Sustainable Treasure Coast, Inc. He also holds membership on the following boards: the Florida Atlantic University Treasure Coast Campus Advisory Board; the First Peoples Bank, Ft. Pierce Advisory Board and the John Carroll Catholic High School Advisory Board. His past service includes presidency of the St. Lucie County Chamber of Commerce, chairmanship of the St. Lucie County Planning and Zoning Board; and, president of the Treasure Coast Chapter of the Florida Engineering Society.
